FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Northern Iowa men's basketball team will be one of six teams to participate in the 2026 Fort Myers Tip-Off this November, as announced on Wednesday by Intersport.
UNI will play in the Palms Division of the event, which will be played Nov. 23-25 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida Southwestern State College. Teams in the Panthers' division include Davidson, Charlotte, Florida Gulf Coast, Tulane and Georgia State.
UNI will take on Davidson on Nov. 23 and Charlotte on Nov. 25 in its two matchups in the Sunshine State. Both games will tip off at 10 a.m. with broadcast information to be announced.
November's meetings with Davidson and Charlotte will be the Panthers' first all-time matchup against both teams. Davidson, led by fifth year head coach Matt McKillop, posted 20 wins last season and earned an NIT berth, while Wes Miller's Charlotte squad finished 17-17.
The Panthers enter the 2026-27 season under first year head coach Kyle Green following a 23-win season, a Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title and the program's ninth NCAA Division I Tournament appearance.
