Drake men to play in Snake River Invitational

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — The Drake men’s basketball team will play in the inaugural Snake River Invitational from the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Nov. 27-29. Also participating in the four-team event will be Boise State, North Dakota State and North Texas. Drake will play three games over three days against the other programs and open up the Snake River Invitational on Friday, Nov. 27, against Boise State. SPORTS SHORTS: MCC soccer nets season’s first win

The Marshalltown Community College men’s soccer team scored its first win of the season by beating Iowa Central on Tuesday at the MCC campus, 3-0. The Tigers (1-2) scored all three of their goals in the first half, including two for Matoi Yanagisawa. Ran Inosaka added a third tally before halftime as MCC netted its first goals of the season.
