Instant comedy is going to get you

“Instant Comedy — Just Add Spam” the improvisation comedy show has entertained audiences in Marshalltown for the past 10 years. It returns to the Orpheum Theater with a workshop today at 6:30 p.m., and public performances on Dec. 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. Around 2-6 people take to the stage for any given act, with as many as 20-30 people total performing throughout. Styled after the television show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” the show offers spontaneous, off-the-cuff fun. Pictured are performers, from left: Toni Proescholdt, Hunter White and Jaleb Jay pretending to drive cars. Tickets cost $10 each or three for $20. Children age 2 and younger are free.
