Horton

A local man was arrested by Marshalltown Police late last week for assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.

David Allen Horton, 30, and another subject exchanged words concerning a previous disagreement in the parking lot of a Marshalltown retailer when Horton allegedly attacked the subject with a collapsable baton, according to Capt. Brian Batterson of the MPD. Horton hit the victim with the baton twice, according to the police report. However, the victim’s wounds were not serious enough to require hospitalization. Horton was later transported to Marshall County Jail.
