Childhood sweethearts, Vern and Connie (Weller) Gage, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 18.

They were married at the First Evangelical-UB Church in Marshalltown.

Vern and Connie are the parents of Robb (Amy) Gage, of Gilman, and Kris Balvanz, of Marshalltown. They have three grandchildren, Travis Gage, Sierra Gage and Colton Balvanz.

A family celebration was held for them at their home on Holiday Lake on the Fourth of July.
