On Sept. 7, Lowell and Sharon Kasischke have a lot to celebrate! Not only is Sharon turning 80 years old, but they will also be celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary. They were married in 1954 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural State Center where they continue to worship.

The Kasischke Century Farm between New Providence and Hubbard has been their home since getting married. They were blessed with three children: Kent, of Hubbard, Lynette (Lynn) Heetland, of Waukee, and Kendra, of Waukee; and three granddaughters: Chelsie (Tim) Stilwell, of West Des Moines, Kayla (Brett) Handsaker, of Radcliff and Sadie, of Atlantic.
