Court — Wednesday

• Cody Ryan Kopel made an initial appearance on two counts of a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Kopel is released under supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Taylor Dawn Lynch made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Lynch pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 15, 2020, in Magistrate Court.

• Jessica Rae Schossow made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Schossow pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 22, 2020, in Magistrate Court.

• Marquis Shaquille Haynes failed to make an appearance on a driving under suspension charge and the court found him guilty and fined him $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Douglas Thomas made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The arraignment hearing will be scheduled by the

District Associate Court. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• Marcela Mora De Chavez made an initial appearance on an interference with official acts charge. Mora De Chavez pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 22, 2020, in Magistrate Court. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

Court — Thursday

• Delilah Elaine Mauskemo, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge and a warrant charging her with failure to appear for an arraignment hearing. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel on the theft charge and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 29, 2020, in Magistrate Court. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel on the arraignment case and ordered the written arraignment be on file with the court by end of day on Dec. 23. The court also ordered Mauskemo to contact Hazen by Dec. 23. Mauskemo is released on her promise to appear.

• Randall John Clemens made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Jared Eibs made an initial appearance on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for a pre-trial conference. The pre-trial conference is rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 9, 2020, in Magistrate Court.

Seventh St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 1125 Marshalltown Blvd., an extrication of victims from vehicle at 3400 240th St., a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at 12th Avenue and East Anson Street, an unauthorized burning at 1605 S. Fifth St. and 10 medical assists with the EMS crew to: 915 Merle Hibbs Blvd., 607 N. Center St., 200 N. 12th Ave., 5 W. Meadow Lane, 704 Summit St., 1 W. Grant St., 605 N. First Ave., 8 S. Fifth Ave., 2613 S. Center St. and 402 N. 10th Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 208 S. Third St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 111 N. Seventh St., 407 Melody Lane and 2 N. Second Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a gasoline or other flammable liquid spill at 308 Sharon Ave., a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at Boone Street and Center Street, a dispatched/cancelled en route to 2550 Reed Ave. and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1011 S. Second St., 207 W. South St., 1500 Lincoln Tower Circle, 501 N. Third Ave., 1301 E. Madison St. and 306 Nicholas Drive.

Dec. 12

• The Marshalltown Police Department responded to a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 11 W. Linn St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at East Anson Street and South 18th Avenue and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: South 12th Avenue and Main Street, 102 E. State St., 302 1/2 Bromley St., 1108 W. Boone St. and 902 S. Center St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 310 N. First Ave., a medical assist with the EMS crew to 1602 S. Second Ave. and two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 312 W. High St. and 403 N. Center St.

Dec. 14

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 402 N. 10th Ave. and 2400 Dillon Road and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1101 S. Third Ave., 302 S. Second Ave. and 309 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd.

Dec. 15

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a passenger vehicle fire at 610 W. State St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 811 W. State St., an overheated motor at 303 Melody Lane and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 407 W. State St., 3108 S. Center St., 208 S. Third St. and 106 S. Fifth Ave.
