• Torin Lee Ward, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 20. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

• Ambria Elizabeth Price made an initial appearance on an assault on persons in certain occupations charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 30. Price is released on her promise to appear.

• Jameson Alan Hulbert made an initial appearance on a sex offender violation-second or subsequent offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 20. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Rodolfo Vela made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. Vela pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the no driver’s license is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330. All payments are due by Jan. 30, 2020.

• Patrice Lynn Dela Torre made an initial appearance on a permitting an unauthorized person to drive charge. Dela Torre pleaded guilty and the fine is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330, due by Jan. 30, 2020.

• Frances Nadine Butler, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 30. Butler is released on her promise to appear.

• Austin Kein Craig made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 15, 2020, in Magistrate Court.

• Justin Senethavysouk amde an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Senethavysouk pleaded guilty ad the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due by Jan. 30, 2020.

• Stephen Leo Schossow made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 30.

• Elizabeth Andrade failed to make an appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and the court found her guilty. The fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due by Jan. 30, 2020.

• Alisha Marrie Fillyaw failed to make an appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge and the court found her guilty. The fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due by Jan. 30, 2020.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Rodolfo Vela, 37, was arrested for driving under suspension and no valid driver’s license.

• On Thursday, Patrice Dela-Torre, 41, was arrested on a warrant charging her with permitting an unauthorized person to drive.

• On Wednesday, Diego Nathaniel Murillo, 22, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Dillon James Knight, 29, was arrested for sex offender registry violation-second or subsequent offense.

• On Wednesday, Ronald Antonio Figueroa Borrero, 30, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Cory Michael Burroughs, 25, was arrested for failure to carry registration card, failure to use headlamps when required, open container, interference with official acts and operating while under the influence-second offense.

Dec. 8

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 6 Edgeland Drive, an unauthorized burning at 1915 S. Fifth Ave., a removal of victims from stalled elevator at 502 Plaza Heights Road and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 514 E. Olive St., 2802 S. Center St. and 407 N. First Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two unauthorized burns at 1300 W. Boone St. and 8 Cherry St., two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 1211 W. State St. and 412 N. First Ave. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 514 E. Olive St., 125 E. Main St. and 304 1/2 S. Second Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 106 College Drive, a vehicle accident-general cleanup at 2802 S. Center St., an alarm system activation-no fire-unintentional at 310 Columbus Drive, a dispatched/cancelled en route to 107 W. State St., a steam, vapor, fog or dust believed to be smoke at 3303 S. Center St. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 2010 Stratford Lane, 400 N. Center St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 1005 S. Eighth Drive and 908 W. Boone St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a no incident found on arrival at dispatched address at South Sixth Avenue and East Anson Street, three dispatched/cancelled en routes to: 2 N. Second Ave., 202 1/2 N. Second St. and 210 S. 14th Ave., three unauthorized burnings at: 541 N. Third St., 301 Edgeland Drive and 904 S. Seventh Ave. and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1722 Country Club Place, 905 Iowa Ave. West, 1114 S. First St., 207 W. South St., 202 Bohen St. and 412 N. Fourth St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 7 N. Eighth St. and 5 N. Eighth St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 520 N. Second St., 1401 S. 17th Ave., 701 Ratcliffe Drive and 1402 E. Main St.
