• Torin Lee Ward, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 20. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
• Ambria Elizabeth Price made an initial appearance on an assault on persons in certain occupations charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 30. Price is released on her promise to appear.
• Jameson Alan Hulbert made an initial appearance on a sex offender violation-second or subsequent offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 20. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
• Rodolfo Vela made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. Vela pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the no driver’s license is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330. All payments are due by Jan. 30, 2020.
• Patrice Lynn Dela Torre made an initial appearance on a permitting an unauthorized person to drive charge. Dela Torre pleaded guilty and the fine is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330, due by Jan. 30, 2020.
• Frances Nadine Butler, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 30. Butler is released on her promise to appear.
• Austin Kein Craig made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 15, 2020, in Magistrate Court.
• Justin Senethavysouk amde an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Senethavysouk pleaded guilty ad the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due by Jan. 30, 2020.
• Stephen Leo Schossow made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 30.
• Elizabeth Andrade failed to make an appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and the court found her guilty. The fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due by Jan. 30, 2020.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 6 Edgeland Drive, an unauthorized burning at 1915 S. Fifth Ave., a removal of victims from stalled elevator at 502 Plaza Heights Road and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 514 E. Olive St., 2802 S. Center St. and 407 N. First Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two unauthorized burns at 1300 W. Boone St. and 8 Cherry St., two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 1211 W. State St. and 412 N. First Ave. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 514 E. Olive St., 125 E. Main St. and 304 1/2 S. Second Ave.

Center St., an alarm system activation-no fire-unintentional at 310 Columbus Drive, a dispatched/cancelled en route to 107 W. State St., a steam, vapor, fog or dust believed to be smoke at 3303 S.
