• Trisha Kathleen Mundt made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Mundt is being held without bond.

• Lang Donald Leonard made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Mark Olberding was appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Molly June Gummert made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge and a trespass-first offense charge. Gummert pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 23, 2020, in Magistrate Court.

• Marquis Shaquille Haynes made an initial appearance on an assault with intent to inflict serious injury charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 30. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Cory Johnson made an initial appearance on a dark windows charge and a no insurance charge. Johnson pleaded guilty to the dark windows and the fine is $50 with a $17.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $132.50. The no insurance charge was dismissed with court costs of $60 assessed. All payments are due within 30 days.

• David Lorenzo Peppers made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Peppers pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Andrew Lyle Bramon made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Bramon pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference was scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 23, 2020, in Magistrate Court.

• Kayla Mae Heatherington failed to make an appearance on a driving under suspension charge and the court found her guilty. The fine is $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Luis Felipe Ordaz Ochoa made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2020. Bond will remain as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• Dominick Martell Osborne, of Des Moines, made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and a speeding charge. Osborne will represent himself before the court. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2020. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.
