• Luis Manuel Chavarria Jimenez made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The probation revocation hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 5. Chavarria Jimenez is released on his promise to appear.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Christopher Strickland, 45, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury and simple domestic assault.

• On Monday, Levi Fischer, 39, was arrested for public intoxication-first offense.

• On Monday, Jose Salas, 18, was arrested for driving while revoked or denied.

• On Monday, Timothy Palmer, 24, was arrested for interference with official acts-bodily injury, possession of methamphetamine-first offense and violation of a no-contact order-contempt of court.

• David Wells, 47, was arrested for escape from custody and sex offender registry violation-second or subsequent offense.

Arrests

• On Sunday, Cheyanne Holliday, 20, of Fairfield, was arrested for trespass in rural Aplington. Holliday was held pending a court appearance on June 1.

• On Sunday, Justin Jeske, 24, of Fairfield, was arrested for trespass in rural Aplington. Jeske was held pending a court appearance on June 1.

• On Sunday, Scott Gilbertson, 19, of Albert Lea, Minn., was arrested for trespass in rural Aplington. Gilbertson was held pending a court appearance on June 1.

Accidents

• On Friday, a vehicle driven by Michael Carreon, 27, of Stout, was westbound when the driver lost control, entered the south ditch, hit a grass driveway and then rolled. No injuries were reported. Carreon was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Carreon vehicle was estimated at $9,000.
