Court — Thursday

• Tonya Lynn Weber made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge.Christian Stickrod will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Weber is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Vincent Lasley made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 7. Lasley will hire his own counsel. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Nathan Wayne Cuellar made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a failure to appear on an assault charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 4. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Victoria Savannah Warrington appeared on a leaving the scene of an accident charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on oct. 14. in Magistrate Court.

• Todd Alan Woodworth made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 22. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Abdi Mohamud Ahmed made an initial appearance on an escape charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 28. Ahmed is being held without bond.

• Drew William Quick made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 22. No bond is allowed.

• Dacoda Lee Lawrence made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Aron Vaughn appeared as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 22. No bond is allowed.

• Jessica Joy Kipper made an initial appearance on a trespass charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 7 in Magistrate Court.

• Vernon James Oltrogge made an initial appearance on a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge. Oltrogge pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $9.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $129.75, due within 30 days.

Incidents

• On Tuesday, a burglary was reported in Melbourne.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Dacoda Lee Lawrence, 29, was arrested on a warrant.

Grundy County Sheriff

Arrests

• On Sunday, Cody Hennings, 28, of Wellsburg, was arrested in Wellsburg and charged with harassment-second degree and public intoxication. Hennings posted bond and was released.

Accidents

• On Saturday, Aug. 15, a car driven by Gayle Barkema, 52, of Conrad, was eastbound on Highway 20 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Barkema car was estimated at $4,000.
