Court — Tuesday

• Cody Michael Rhodes made an initial appearance on failed to appear for a trial charge. The trial will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Curtis Ross Wilson made an initial appearance on an assault charge. Jennie Wilson Moore was appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 23. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Shayna Rose Wanatee made an initial appearance on two charges of possession of a controlled substance charge, an operating while under the influence charge, a driving while revoked charge, an open container charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a no valid driver’s llicense charge, a stopping on the paved portion of the roadway charge, a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 23. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Michael James Grandstaff made an initial appearance on an attempted burglary-third degree-second or subsequent offense charge and a burglary-third degree-motor vehicle-second or subsequent offense charge. Defendant waived preliminary hearing. Grandstaff was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 24 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Stephan Allen Bullock made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge and a driving under suspension charge. Bullock pleaded guilty to both charges. On the stop sign charge the fine is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. All payments are due within 30 days.

• A 16-year-old male made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s license charge, a no insurance charge, a reckless driving charge, a failure to obey a stop sign charge and a failure to maintain control charge. The juvenile pleaded guilty to all charges. The fine for the driver’s license charge was $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354. Court costs on the no insurance charge and the stop sign charge is $55, each. On the reckless driving charge the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75. The fine on the failure to maintain control charge is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Jacob Alan Anding made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Anding pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50, due within 30 days.

• Roy Arthur Rice made an initial appearance on a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge. Rice pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75, due within 30 days.

• Tomylee Hudson Boswell made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s license charge. Boswell pleaded guilty and the fine is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354, due within 30 days.

• Victor Ernest Hernandez Moreno made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Hernandez Moreno pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50, due within 30 days.

• Jose De Jesus Hernandez Garcia made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 30. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Atem Atem Majok made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Majok pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75, due within 30 days.

• Rogelio Sanchez Sanchez made an initial appearance on an eluding charge, a violation of no-contact/contempt of court charge and pretrial violation charge. Taylor Reichardt is appointed as counsel on the eluding charge. The contempt hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 19. The pretrial release is revoked. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only.

• Kassandra Castellanos made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 30. Castellanos is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 14 to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Michaela Renae Nelson made an initial appearance on a dog at large violation charge and rabies vaccination violation charge. Nelson pleaded guilty and the fine is $210 with a $31.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $301.50, due within 30 days.

• Lillyanne Jule Robinson made an initial appearance on a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge. Robinson pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $175.75, due within 30 days.

Incidents

• On Monday, a hit and run incident was reported in the 800 block of South Center Street.

• On Monday, a theft from a building and a burglary were reported in the 1100 block of East State Street.

• On Tuesday, a theft-fifth degree was reported in the 400 block of North Second Avenue.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Tanner Smith, 20, was arrested for driving under suspension.

• On Tuesday, Jeffrey Ross, 51, was arrested for keeping a premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation, dominion/control of firearm by a felon, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, trafficking in stolen weapon used in a crime, a controlled substance violation, obstruction of emergency communications, false imprisonment and willful injury-causing serious injury.

• On Tuesday, Luis Fuentes, 26, was arrested for interference with official acts and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Monday, Oscar Sanchez, 33, was arrested for ongoing criminal conduct, theft-second degree and theft-third degree.

• On Monday, Cody Rhodes, 30, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Monday, Jerome Lang, 19, was arrested for harassment-third degree.

• On Monday, Joshua Bachman, 37, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Monday, Jake William Waterhouse, 25, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Monday, Shayna Rose Wanatee, 36, was arrested for possession of contraband in a correctional facility, driving while revoked, operating while under the influence-second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine-first offense, failure to file SR-22, open container, stopping on the paved part of the highway, no insurance and no valid driver’s license.

• On Monday, Gregory John Paglia, 37, was arrested on a warrant charging him with violation of parole.

• On Monday, Kassandra Castellanos, 23, was arrested for driving while barred and on a warrant.
