• Dionte Bryant Trimble made an initial appearance on an assault charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 11. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Carter William Koop made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Feb. 1. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. A gun rights prohibition is ordered.
• Kathy Mala Leothi made an initial appearance on a failure to maintain a reasonable and proper speed charge, a violation of a restricted license charge, a no insurance charge and a careless driving-causing unnecessary swaying charge. Leothi pleaded guilty to all charges. On the failure to maintain reasonable speed charge the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75. The fine on the restricted license charge is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The no insurance fine is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the careless driving charge is $50 with a $7.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $112.50.
• Joshua Robert Richard Jamell made an initial appearance on a no registration charge and a driving under suspension charge. Jamell pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the no registration is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50.
• Victoria Dawn Honts made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is acting as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 11.
• Kyle Larue Duncan made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Feb. 11.
• Nancy Abigail Avila made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Avila pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
