• Steven James Hayden made an initial appearance on a urinating in a public place charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. Leah Patton is appointed as counsel on the theft charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 in Magistrate Court.
• Kaily Lynette Beeghly AKA Ali Shah made an initial appearance on a violation of pre-trial release and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Pre-trial release is revoked and bond is set at $1,000 cash only. A pre-trial conference is set for the drug paraphernalia at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 in Magistrate Court.
• Yvette Avila made an initial appearance on a burglary-first degree charge, a domestic abuse assault-third degree charge, a theft-third degree charge and a criminal mischief-fourth degree charge. Mark Olberding is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 21. Bond is set at $30,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Armando Garcia failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Winner Kokou Banissan made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a traffic control device charge and a driving under suspension charge. Banissan pleaded guilty to the traffic control device charge and the fine is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. A pre-trial conference is set for the driving under suspension at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28 in Magistrate Court.
• Jason McMahon made an initial appearance on an impersonating a public officer charge, a harassing a public officer/employee charge, a providing a false report to law enforcement charge and a DNU-harassment by communication charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 12.

• On Thursday, July 25, Brent Aguilar, 20, was arrested on a warrant charging him with driving while license is denied, canceled, revoked or suspended, driving wrong way on a designated one-way street, improper use of lanes, two counts of failure to obey a traffic control device, no valid driver’s license, eluding-enhanced-second or subsequent offense and driving while barred-habitual offender.
• On Thursday, July 25, Christopher VanLangen, 23, was arrested on a warrant charging him with two counts of violation of probation.
Accidents
• On Thursday, July 25, an SUV driven by Madisyn Lael Ray, 20, of State Center, was eastbound on Marble Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. The driver suffered a minor injury. Damage to the Ray SUV was estimated at $900.
