• Melinda Jean Wanatee failed to appear on a speeding charge and a driving under suspension charge and the court found her guilty. The fine on the speeding charge is $30 with a R4.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $89.50. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Cathy Lin Schmidt made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a driving under suspension charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28.

• Justin Lee Harris made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel.
