• Jovana Julia Sofian made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. The arraignment hearing will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court.
• Juan Carlos Velazco made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 29 in District Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.
• Amber GEne Wheeler made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Wheeler is being held without bond.
• Myron Vasion Porter made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a speeding charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 8.
