• Jose Luis Avalos-Covarrubias made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Avalos-Covarrubias is being held without bond.
• Kevin Ray Stevenson made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 24. Stevenson is being held without bond.
• Jeremy Rhea Waltemeyer made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge, an assault against a person with a no-contact order in place charge and a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge. Mark Olberding is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 10. Bond is set at $10,000 cash. The no-contact order has been amended to reflect this violation. The preliminary hearing on the new assault charges is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 12. Bond is set at $50,000 cash. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Connor Nicholas Jessen made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is set for 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 12. The no-contact order has been amended to reflect this violation. Bond is set at $2,000 cash.
• Ricardo Palmarez Jr. made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Mark Olberding will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 17. Bond is set at $2,000 cash. The no-contact order has been amended to reflect this violation.
• Maximino Ortega Perez made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 12. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Alejandro Morales Juarez made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, a possession of cannabidiol-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 23. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Tonya Mariea Grefe made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge and a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge. • On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Connor Jessen, 22, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana-first offense.
• On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Maximino Ortega- Perez, 25, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness-no intent.
