• David William Wells made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge and a sex offender registration violation-second or subsequent offense charge. Mark Olberding is appointed as counsel for the parole charge. The parole revocation will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Wells is being held without bond. The preliminary hearing on the sex offender registration violation is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 10. Bond is set at $5,000 cash.
• Hannah Kristin Allison made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, a possession of methamphetamine-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 21. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Jennifer Lynn Smith made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Smith pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Cecilia Galeana Garcia made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s license charge and a no insurance charge. Galeana Garcia pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the no driver’s license is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $433.75.
