• Joseph James Brasher made an initial appearance on a harassment-first degree charge, a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and an interference with official acts charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 20. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Ashley Nicole Ruring made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Ruring is being held without bond.

• Chelsea Ann Peddle made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 29. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Janet Christine Hubbard made an initial appearance on an assault on persons in certain occupations-bodily injury charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 29.

• Elrsheed Ahmed Taha Fadllalla made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. A pre-trial conference is set at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 28 in Magistrate Court.

• Sergio Esteban Olivos Velasquez made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. Olivos Velaquez pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total osf $175.75.

• On Thursday, Jan. 8, Justin Connelly, 37, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense-causing bodily injury.
