• Nieqo Tyler House made an initial appearance on a drag racing charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 11 in Magistrate Court.
• Elaine Marie Locke made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Locke pleaded guilty and the fine is set at $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

Accidents
• On Saturday, Jan. 31, an SUV driven by Sean Patrick Maday, 35, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on 230th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Maday SUV was estimated at $1,500.
