Knights of Columbus uphold tradition at Lent

Dozens of local St. Henry and St. Mary parishioners were joined by other residents who turned out for the first Lenten Friday fish fry held in the St. Henry gym recently. The Knights of Columbus chapter 966 have sponsored a fish fry every Friday night during Lent for many years. The event was held in the former KC Hall for years until the Knights of Columbus sold the building and property to the city to make way for the joint police and fire station headquarters under construction. Diners had a choice of cod or tilapia, and youngsters could opt out for cheese pizza. Entrees were served with baked beans, coleslaw and roll. “Service to one, service to all,” is the Knights motto.
