Man arrested for burglary and domestic abuse
Marshalltown police arrested a local man on numerous warrants stemming from a June 4 incident and transported him to Marshall County Jail Tuesday.
Oscar Miguel Nunez-Cabrera, 26, was charged with burglary in the first degree, domestic abuse assault-serious, harassment in the first degree and four contempt of court charges for violating no contact orders.
The defendant was seen entering a residence occupied by the victim by a plain clothes officer who then notified a uniformed officer of the defendant’s action. During the defendant’s initial hearing Wednesday, a magistrate ordered the defendant held on $51,000 cash only bond and issued a no contact order protecting the victim.
The magistrate also appointed the defendant a public defender. Nunez-Cabrera remains in Marshall County Jail.
