Tanner Stanley was arrested early Friday morning and charged with domestic abuse assault – third or subsequent offense, according to Marshalltown Police reports.

Stanley, 21, was arrested around 2:41 a.m. Friday at the 1700 block of Edgebrook Drive. According to a criminal complaint, Stanley was previously convicted of domestic abuse assault in October 2016 and September 2018. A third such offense is listed as a Class D felony, which carries a possible maximum prison term of five years and a fine of at least $750 but not to exceed $7,500.

Stanley’s initial appearance in court is scheduled for 1 p.m. July 15 at the Max Building, 101 S. First Ave, per court documents.
