Marshalltown police began conducting a death investigation Wednesday afternoon at a residence in the 600 block of Lincolnway, Chief of Police Mike Tupper said.

“The public is not in danger,” he said.

Several MPD patrol cars and the department’s Crime Scene Investigation unit were on scene for several hours.

“The investigation is continuing, ” Tupper said. “We will release more information as it becomes available.”
