The annual Wreaths Across America program honoring deceased veterans and Prisoners Of War will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Malloy Hall Leisure Resource Center on the Iowa Veterans Home campus.

The event is open to the public and free-of-charge.

Leading off will be the Young Patriot Singers.

Rick Claassen of the Patriot Guard Riders will emcee.

Ray Needham, Iowa Patriot Guard state chaplain, will give invocation and benediction. Guest speaker is Kelly Sullivan Loughren. Special guests include “The Singing Pastors,” Rev. Mark and Luke Ehrhardt, who will perform “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.”

IVH residents will lay wreaths for each service branch.

Roxanne Bach will provide music.

The Wreaths Across America mission is to remember, honor, and teach. The organization provides a consistent and positive message that educates the public about the importance of honoring the memories of all who have sacrificed their time, their family, their health and often their lives, to protect the freedoms we enjoy.
