More than 1,000 cases in Marshall County

Marshall County has 1,011 cases of COVID-19, a rise of 13 since Friday. The number of recovered cases in the county has remained at 616.

Marshall County is in the top eight counties in Iowa with the highest COVID-19 cases. The others are Polk with 5,968; Woodbury, 3,147; Black Hawk, 2,070; Buena Vista, 1,695; Linn, 1,191; Dallas, 1,174; and Johnson, 1,098.

Across the state, there have been 28,732 positive cases, a rise of 1,177 since Friday. Of the total, 17,729 have recovered. The case numbers on the Iowa Department of Public Health COVID-19 website are updated throughout the day.

There are 119 Iowans hospitalized with the virus. Of Monday’s total, 35 are in intensive care units and 18 are on ventilators.

Hospital activity is displayed by regions on the Iowa Department of Pubic Health website, coronavirus.iowa.gov. Marshall County is in Regional Medical Coordination Center Region 1, which has 39 hospitalized patients. Of the total hospitalized in Region 1, 12 are in intensive care units and 6 are on ventilators.

There have been 18 COVID-19 deaths in Marshall County and 707 statewide.

Across the state, 300,432 tests have been conducted. Plus, 805,746 Test Iowa assessments have been conducted – 2,899 in Marshall County.
