The Matins Kiwanis Club of Marshalltown is announcing a Helmet Giveaway, Bike Rodeo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 21 at the Sixth Street Softball Complex parking lot. The Matins Kiwanis club has purchased 200 helmets to hand out to the third graders of Marshall County. With its partners; The Iowa Valley Bike Club, the Iowa Bicycle Coalition and Black Tire Bike company, third graders will be given a helmet and properly fitted to them. Then they will be encouraged to participate in a bike rodeo where they will learn the rules of bicycles on the road. No need to sign up just come by and get all set up with a great fitting new helmet.
