Tunchez

Hector Manuel Leon Tunchez, 26, of Marshalltown was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree sexual abuse.

His arrest stems from an investigation that began May 4 involving the abuse of a juvenile female who reported she was sexually abused in May 2022. The investigation is continuing.

Second-degree sexual abuse is a class B felony and carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison. A criminal charge is merely an accusation and Tunchez is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The Marshalltown Police Department took Tunchez to the Marshall County Jail. He is being held pending further court proceedings.
