Sunshine and warm temperatures will greet the Annual Cleaniac/Ward One clean-up Phase 1 on Saturday, April 13. Meet at Villachuato Grocery Store parking lot at 107 N. Center St. at 9 a.m. Cleaniac and Ward One will provide gloves and bags. Participants will be picking up trash or debris from sidewalk to sidewalk on streets in Ward One.

Come and pick out the residential area that you would like to walk. Full bags are put on the street corners for pick up later in the morning. Normally, it takes 90 minutes to two hours to complete. All city parks in Ward One will be cleaned by various civic and business groups helping Marshalltown sparkle. Dogs on leashes are more than welcome! Want a cleaner Marshalltown? Phase Two is on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. Meet on Main Street in front of the MCBD and Chamber offices at 34 W. Main St. for phase two of a deep clean of the Main Street District sponsored by Cleaniac and the MCBD. Bags and gloves will be provided by the MCBD. In the past, this event has taken about 90 minutes to complete and helps the Main Street district stay attractive to residents and visitors that come to town.
