The Grand Parade was the main event of Friday night at the Gladbrook Corn Carnival as paradegoers gathered all along Johnston Street and 4th Street. Afterwards visited the midway for fun and games on 1st Street. The four-day event included entertainment from Dueling Pianos, Strike the Skye, and Standing Hampton; a firemen waterball contest, professional wrestling, bingo, kids’ facepainting and a car show with custom-made trophies by Ryan & Scotty Fields of Pleasant Hill.
