Although it was soft opened to customers back in late June, the public was invited to celebrate the brand new, $7 million MEMBERS1ST Community Credit Union location at 104 W. Anson St. on Friday morning with a ribbon cutting sponsored by the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce. A company representative said the facility, which houses about 20 employees, is the single largest investment MEMBERS1ST has ever made in a new location, and food trucks and refreshments were on hand for the occasion. In addition to the new building and the JBS location in Marshalltown, MEMBERS1ST has a presence in five other Iowa communities — Ames, Boone, Eldora, Iowa Falls and Traer.
