It was a beautiful night for a car show at Glenwood Place on Thursday as the senior living facility hosted its annual “Cruise for a Cause” fundraiser event complete with live music, food, and of course, a parking lot full of classic hot rods. Glenwood Place Community Relations Coordinator Brooke Davis counted 53 cars last night and noted that the total amount raised, $4,138, is a new record. Over the eight-year history of the event, it has raised $22,263.

“A big shout out thank you to the band, JJ Ace for their talents and amazing entertainment. Hy-Vee donated water and chips and ASI Beltone donated the desserts. We appreciate the partnerships,” Davis said. “We would also like to thank the Simbides and Kurth families for donating the Resident Choice trophies for our King and Queen, Ron and Mary Goecke, to award.”

Starting at $4.38/week.
