The force at the Marshalltown Police Department is growing by two as new officers, Cory Critchlow (second from right) and Steven Wonderlin (right), were officially sworn in on Wednesday morning at the Police/Fire building. Also pictured are Judge Bethany Currie, second from left, who did the honors, and Police Chief Chris Jones. Wonderlin is a native of Ankeny who resides in Bondurant, and Critchlow is a Carlisle native who resides in Altoona. Jones said both will be heading to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in January of 2026 but are starting their field training immediately.
