John Scott Meeks, 49, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Private Graveside Services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Public Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Survivors include his wife Jackie Benda Meeks of Toledo; his father, John Dennis Meeks of El Cajon, CA; one brother, Ed Meeks of San Diego, CA; his aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece, nephew, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phoebe Meeks. Memorials may be directed to the Tama County Humane Society.
