Funeral services for Robert will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Le Grand Friends Church in Le Grand, Iowa. The family requests that you come in casual dress. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Robert Underhill was born on January 4, 1942, in Americus, Indiana to Edward and Ruth Fawley Underhill. He graduated from Le Grand High School in 1961. On July 23, 1976, Robert was united in marriage to Jeannie Stewart in Marshalltown. Robert had worked for Fisher Control for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, following his grandchildren’s sporting events and golfing and even had EIGHT HOLES IN ONE!!

Robert is survived by his spouse of 41 years, Jeannie. Children: Starla Amendt, of Le Grand, Nick Underhill, of Albion, Troy (Julie) Underhill, of Le Grand, and Alissa (Jeff) McKinney, of Lemars. Grandchildren: Devin, Brooke (Trevor), Riley, Dillon (Sami), Zach, Tre, Kristen and Bobbi. Great grandchildren: Tate, Kendrick, Kyran and Rhett. He is also survived by his siblings: Jean Ridout, Juanita Guile, Shirley Johns, Sandy Anderson, Carol Adams, Duane Underhill, Denny Underhill and Tom Underhill.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Ruth as well as siblings Marlene, Patty, Leonard, Vernon, Steve and Eddie.
