Ryan Pfantz, Brett Pfantz and Kirk Lawthers. Military Honors were provided by the Combined

VFW/American Legion Honor Guard. He was laid to rest in the Hillside Cemetery in State

Center, Iowa. Groups in attendance included American Legion Post #144, State Center Lions,

and VFW. Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Verne and his family.
