A visitation for Ted will be held on Monday, July 8,2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the Clemons United Church of Christ with Pastor Craig Marshall officiating. Theodore Wayne Krough was born on February 13, 1943 in Marshalltown, Iowa to parents Leslie and Alberta (Menter) Krough. He grew up and attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District and graduated in the class of 1962. He was a truck driver and transported raw milk to the dairy plants for processing. On September 16, 1989 he was united in marriage to Marlene (Runner) at Timmons Grove Park in Albion, Iowa. The two were able to start their own trucking business, T and M Transport, which moved milk from producers to processing plants. They were residents of Clemons, Iowa until Ted was living at Story County Senior Care.

He was a member of many organizations, including the Lincoln Valley Country Club, Clemons United Church of Christ, Clemons Little League, and was a part of the Marshalltown Softball League. In his free time you may have found him coaching, golfing, bowling, rooting for his Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes, attending picnics, softball tournaments, being with his grandchildren and the rest of his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Marlene; children, Robin (Ed) Meester and Tracy (Dan Fontes) Shattuck; step children, Jeffrey (Elaine Faulkner) Piatt, Clifford (Sandy) Piatt, and Matthew Piatt; grandchildren: Erin Papenburg, Chance Krough, Logan Krough, Larissa Krough, Toni Shattuck, Taylor Shatuck, Stephanie Zoellick, Marya Fridley, Alex Piatt, Maci Determan, Damon Piatt, Kim Moore, Josh Schroyer, Ashlee Mendenhall and Jeremy Forck; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard “Butch” Krough, Dennis Krough, Carroll Krough, Rex Krough, Randy Krough, Paul Krough and Mary Carkhuff.

In death, Ted rejoins his parents, Tim and Alberta Eash, Leslie and Ruth Krough; his son, Todd Krough; step-son, Tony Piatt; sisters: Geraldine Finch, Ester Kester and Connie Lage; brothers: Fred Krough, Tom Krough and Jim Eash.
