Evelyn Gummert, 93
A funeral service for Evelyn Gummert, 93, of Marshalltown, was held on August 23, 2019, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Pastor Alex Post officiated the service. Special music was performed by Colette Benge and Marie May.
Pallbearers were Clint Zitzow, Andy Patterson, David Sawyer, Scott Danner, Kevin Gummert, Jeff Milkovich, Tristin Danner and Teagan Danner.
Honorary Pallbearers were Preston Thomas, Craig Danner, Nate Danner, Tom May, Joel Gummert, Stanley Keiper and Aaron Cruz.
She was laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery of Dillon.
Groups in attendance included former KIOWA employees, residents of Embers Retirement Community, UAW Representatives, American Airlines employees, members of Bethany United Methodist Church and Redeemer Lutheran Church, MHS Class of ’68 and Marshalltown Bowling Seniors, among others.
Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Evelyn and her family.
