Michael D. Eygabroad, 73

Michael D. Eygabroad, 73, of Osage Beach, Missouri, formerly of Marshalltown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Lake Regional Medical Center in Osage Beach. To honor his wishes, cremation rites have been given and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 16th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for later designations. Michael Dean was born on September 3, 1947, in Marshalltown, the son of Earl and Ann (Diamond) Eygabroad. He grew up in Marshalltown and graduated from the Marshalltown High School with the Class of 1965. In October, 1966, he married Victoria Pille and the couple was blessed with three children. Several years after their divorce, Mike married Kathy Vannatta in January, 1980. Michael retired from Emerson – Fisher Controls after thirty-eight years of service. During that time, he also owned and operated Mike’s CB service and Repair for more than 45 years. Mike and his brother, Terry enjoyed officiating football, basketball and baseball at the junior high and senior high levels. He was a street rod enthusiast and a fan of Harley Davidsons. He loved going to car shows and stock car races and even drove in some of them. After moving to Osage Beach in 2002, Mike stayed active as a school bus driver and school bus mechanic and continued to follow his hobbies. He was a member of The Fun Runners Club and the local Harley Davidson Club in Osage Beach.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kathy; his children: Missy Eygabroad, Denise (Andy) Bryant and Michael Eygabroad; his grandchildren: Anthony Knox Jr., Samantha Reese, Tyler (Katelyn) Reese, Preston Eygabroad, Tanner Eygabroad, Hayden Eygabroad, Sebastian Eygabroad and Sofia Eygabroad; his great grandchildren: Henry, Elle, Emerson and Elias; and his sister, Sandy (Steve) Andrews.

In eternal life, Michael has been reunited with his parents, sister, Kay Kingery and brother, Terry Eygabroad.
