Willard L Chase, 88, of Marshalltown, passed away Sunday, October 18th, at the Iowa River Hospice House. Willard was born April 19th 1932, to Dave and Mable Chase. Willard married Carol Johnson, of Wisconsin, on April 9th 1951, celebrating 69 years of marriage.
Willard loved spending time with his family and friends. He has three children, 8 grandkids and 17 great grandkids. Willard enjoyed working on cars, hunting, playing cards and playing his guitar.
Left to remember and cherish his memory are his children: Lee (Phil) McAlmond, of Ohio, Mark (Lori) Chase, of Marshalltown; Grandchildren: Braidie (Scott) Hutchinson, of Kansas, Dana (Chris) Summers, of Ohio, Brian (Sara) McAlmond, of Texas, Marci (James) Gibson, of State Center, Sheri Chase, of Marshalltown, Dustin (Sarah) Chase, of Des Moines, Danielle (Austin) Fleming, of Garwin, Brittany Chase, of Johnston and 17 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his son’s Michael (birth) and Joe Chase; parents Dave and Mable and siblings Betty, Donna, Dorothy, Judy and Jerry.
A memorial will be planned for a later date.
