Troy David Hibbs, 50

Troy David Hibbs, 50, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 15th, 1972, in Brookings, South Dakota, to Jackie (Bowers) Hibbs and Joel David Hibbs. He was a 1990 graduate of Marshalltown High School and a 1994 graduate of Central College where he was an offensive lineman for the Central College Dutch.
He married Meredith (Rensch) Hibbs in 1995, and they went on to have three beautiful daughters whom he loved dearly. They divorced in 2016. Troy’s first love was farming. He was fortunate enough to work for himself and spend everyday doing what he loved. His favorite smells were fresh turned soil and diesel fuel. He also enjoyed refereeing high school football alongside his father and friends for 25 years. In 2019, he married Julie Neuroth, and they enjoyed traveling together. They divorced in 2022.
Troy is survived by his parents, his daughters: Maddie (Jordan), Paige and Sydney, a sister Amanda (Russ) Moore and their children Braeden and McKinlee; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Dorothy Hibbs, maternal grandparents, Lauren and Rita Bowers and step grandmother Shirley Bowers.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. The family requests casual attire and feel free to wear John Deere or Central College apparel. There will be a celebration of life held in the spring, his favorite time of year.
