Clayton Rich, 59
Clayton Rich, 59, of Marion, IA, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on April 24, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 W. Main St. in Marshalltown, IA. A visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, IA, with a graveside service at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Central Iowa Residential Services, Inc. Clayton Wayne Rich, son of Herbert G. and Maribel (Norris) Rich, was born November 23, 1963, at Evangelical Hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa. He attended the Pleasant Hill Developmental Center in Marshalltown, graduating in 1985. He was a member of Central Christian Church and participated in programming at the Career Development Center in Marshalltown. Clayton resided at New Hope Village in Carroll, Iowa, from 1992-2021. In 2021, he moved to REM Iowa-Daleview in Marion, where he received wonderful care until his passing. Clayton died April 14, 2023, in Marion at the age of 59.
Survivors include his sister Alinda (Barry) Stelk, Lincoln, Nebraska; niece Emmaly (Matt) Johnson, Lincoln, Nebraska; nephew Taylor (Brynn) Stelk, Elkhorn, Nebraska; great niece Allison Johnson and great nephews Isaac Johnson, Eli Stelk and Evan Stelk.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
