Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 7:30-9:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. A vigil service will follow, also at the funeral home. Maria’s funeral Catholic mass will take place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, starting at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama, Iowa. She is survived by her husband Juan Diego; her five children: Oscar Ricardo (Edith Valles) Valles Herrera, Yesenia (Alvaro Andrade) Valles Herrera, Alberto Valles Herrera, Fidel (Rocio Valles) Valles Herrera and Pina Rayo (Jose Ascension Duarte) Valles Herrera; 20 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and her sister Esther Herrera Garcia, of Washington.
