Stephen F. Weeces, 73, formerly of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, June 12th, at the Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 27th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with family friend, Chad Cook, officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the active US Navy Honor Guard and the combined VFW and American Legion Honor Guard in the Marshalltown area. Corporal Melvin Lloyd Huff, 19, of Eldora and formally of Iowa Falls, passed away January 20, 1945, in New Guinea during WWII. His remains were finally discovered and are being repatriated back to Iowa Falls for burial. A graveside service for Melvin Lloyd Huff will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 28, 2025, with full military honors at Union Cemetery Iowa Falls.
