Bryan Eugene Brekke passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2024 and most recently resided in Albion and Marshalltown, Iowa. Services for Bryan will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2025, beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home and signifying the celebration of his 64th birthday. A visitation for family and friends will be held one-hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bryan’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. Alan Smoldt, 73, of Marshalltown, passed away with family at his side on Tuesday evening, December 24th, at the Iowa River Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 31 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery with full military honors by the Combined American Legion and VFW Honor Guard in the Marshalltown area.
