Larry “Monk” Shefchik, 84

Larry “Monk” Shefchik, 84, of Toledo, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at his step-daughter’s home in Toledo under the care of UnityPoint Hospice. A family burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama, at a later date. Survivors include his son, James Dean Shefchik; step-daughters: Delrae Hennessy, Tina Durnin and Adonica Hennessy, all of Toledo; two granddaughters and his beloved dog. Memorials may be directed to Toledo Fire and EMS or to Tama County Humane Society. Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Charles Eich, 81, of Marshalltown, passed away Thursday night, October 19th, at the UnityPoint Health Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 24th, at the Faith Assembly of God in Marshalltown with Pastor Dave Martin officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery.
