Beth Gilgen, 92, of Marshalltown, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Southridge Specialty Care Center. She was born August 6, 1931, to Harry and Vera Gallentine in Van Cleve, IA, and attended Van Cleve and Melbourne schools. She was united in marriage to William Gilgen December 15, 1951. Together they raised four boys, Randall (Ruth), of Marshalltown, David (Laura), of Raleigh, NC, Barry (Karen), of Marshalltown and Gavin, of Durham, NC. Daniel Rathjen, 72, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at his home from a brain tumor. He died surrounded by his family and under the care of Iowa River Hospice.
