Gary Dean Weede

Gary Dean Weede passed away peacefully at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa, on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was born to Dean and Hilma Weede in Stanwood, Iowa. Graduating in 1956 from Mckinley High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he went on to Iowa State University. In 1958 he married his high school sweetheart, Jannes Teply. He completed his Bachelor, Masters, and Doctorate at ISU. He taught there until 1970 when he moved on to Illinois State University. Dorthy (Wisgerhof) Billman, 93, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Larry C. Herink, 80, of Lincoln, IA passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his residence. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Salem Church of Lincoln. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment and military honors will follow the service at Maple Hill Cemetery in rural Gladbrook.
