Interesting. Alliant Energy just increased my budget billing by $30 a month. The city must be run by democrats. Tax and spend. How about fixing the terrible street east of my house, how about stopping speeding at drive times in our neighborhood. It seems the city wants more and more for the future.

How about something for the (especially older) residents who live here now? The flowers and watering system installed on Center Street is a joke. Weed patch that throws water on my clean car.

Lets use some common sense. Do something to actually improve our quality of life. That’s not flowers and paintings on a wall. Work on bringing some retail stores back to town. The city loses money every time we go out of town to buy clothing etc.

Talk to the people. Ask “What do you need? What would you like?” Let the people paying the bill have a voice.

P.S. There is such poor voter turnout for city council elections I don’t believe the majorityof the people are adequately represented. That is why our money isn’t allocated where so many residents would like to see it go.
