When God isn’t around

Many folks in life do not know what God expects us to accomplish. They don’t know because they don’t read, the reason He created the world. From the beginning, our relatives sinned by being rebellious. The Creator spent the next few centuries trying to help restore creation to Himself. Scripture reveals the character and nature of God.

He is a Spirit (John 4:24). He is different from our humanness. In the Bible index, we see 35 various qualities of who he is. He is invisible, unsearchable and incorruptible. In our personal journey through life, perhaps we have wondered, as Jeremiah did in his book of Laments, where are you God? Don’t you see what is going on in our world?

Look at how the strong are destroying the weak and stealing all they have. Look at our government and what they are doing to steal land, houses and personal wealth? Nothing has changed in 2,500 years! The strong and evil folks are plundering all they can get their hands on. Our government is making laws where the wicked have an advantage over the righteous. As a way to look out for the welfare of our people, we are to establish “Watchmen.” These people are stationed in places who will report that enemies are coming to cause destruction.

In Jeremiah’s day, the evil ones were their own people-it is much the same today. Be on guard for the world is full of ravenous folks seeking to destroy humans and their conscience. The first area to “watch” is our own soul. We are the last defense of who God wants us to be.

If we don’t stop those who are coming to destroy us, no one else will. Throughout the Bible, Satan’s nature is revealed. He destroys and perverts people away from God. Humans are created with a piece of our life missing. We do not have the connectedness that Adam and Eve had with the creator. We shape our connectedness to God by the things we do for Him, daily.

In Matthew chapter 5,6, and 7 we see the nature of God. He is teaching all of us “Who have ears to hear” that the piece of God that is missing from our D.N.A. is revealed in the things we do for others. We must be a living showcase of Godly kindness.
